About Journey Forge USA
Veteran owned and operated, Journey Forge USA was founded on a passion for traditional blacksmithing as well as quality, American craftsmanship. Every knife and piece of ironwork is personally designed, built and finished by hand with pride and attention to detail.
The goal is simple: build honest tools that work as well in the field as they look on the shelf. From the first cut to the final sharpening, every step is completed with durability, performance, and craftsmanship in mind.

Knife Materials & Process
We favor high-carbon steels and time-tested techniques: controlled forging, precise heat treat, and careful fit-and-finish.
The handle is where a knife truly becomes personal. That's why Journey Forge USA uses premium hardwoods such as Desert Ironwood and Ebony, long favored by custom knife makers for their exceptional strength, natural beauty, and durability. Their dense grain resists moisture, shrinking, and everyday wear, making them ideal for knives that are built to be used for a lifetime. Beyond their performance, each piece of wood features unique grain patterns and rich natural color, ensuring that no two handles are exactly alike. As these woods age, they develop even greater character, creating a handle that is as timeless as the blade it accompanies.
Each knife comes with a custom fitted, had stitched leather sheath. The sheaths are made from high quality vegetable tanned leather.
